Sponsor a Child
Why does the Waiting Child Fund ask for your support?

Agencies trying to find waiting children homes spend staff resources, time and money recruiting families - particularly those willing and able to adopt a special-needs child. Once a family is found, they'll need twenty five to thirty hours of training, and a social worker will conduct a home study for three to six months before the matching process begins.
After a child is placed with a family, it can take up to six more months to finalize the adoption. Work for the agencies continues in the form of ongoing post-adoption support, treatment and education.
There isn't enough money to pay agency staff. No money to identify and train families.
Without your sponsorship, there is simply not enough money to make these adoptions possible. And so, children continue to wait.
When you sponsor a child, 100 percent of the money goes to help that child find a family. The Waiting Child Fund does not take even one nickel of sponsorship funds. You can have complete confidence that your sponsorship dollars are going to help change that child's life.
